Tesco's Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Markets wanted to give back to local schools and increase traffic inside their stores.
Leader and Fresh & Easy developed the scalable Shop for Schools program, in which Fresh & Easy donated $1 to local schools for every $20 spent at the store. Leader also created a 'Shopping Night' program, where schools received 5% of store sales during a period of time.
Leader increased the amount of money raised for schools by 50% in one year. We started the program with $1.3 million in 2010 and generated $2 million by 2011.
